Dorset is currently seeking a full-time *Commercial Property Manager, *with a Rental Management License with the BCFSA who will contribute to Dorset?s commitment to excellence.
Our ideal candidate should be highly organized, energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Previous commercial property management experience is preferred but not a must. Training can be provided to a residential rental or strata property manager with the right qualities and experience. The posted salary is a starting figure with room for growth.
Responsibilities:
* Manage maintenance and administrative operations of rental and/or commercial buildings within a portfolio
* Liaise with building operators and contractors for quotes, order items and maintenance coordination
* Advise clients in understanding the application of their leases and other legislation
* Schedule, prepare, attend all client meetings, and following up with directives in a timely manner
* Work to prepare budgets, organize reports, analyze expenses and review invoices
* Pay invoices to third party vendors/contractors
* Oversee projects, handle property emergencies, and contracts for services as required by the Clients
* Respond to inquiries from tenants
* Rent collection and management
Other duties, responsibilities and projects may be assigned based on operational needs.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in rental property management role and a valid Rental Property Management License
* Hold a Valid BC Driver License and access to a fully insured vehicle
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines while ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* A resourceful thinker with exceptional time management and organizational skills who is always up for a challenge
* Flexible schedule with the ability to work outside regular business hours, if needed
This position is Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM ? 5:00 PM. There will not be regular evening meetings with clients, however occasional evening and weekend meetings / site visits may be required.
