Continuing Education School Instructor <p>Casual Position -Sioux North High School <p>Position is dependent upon enrollment <p>Salary - $5300 <p> <p>The course will be credit-bearing, Healthy Living and Large Group Activities, for Indigenous Youth attending Sioux North High School from Windigo communities. Effective start date/end date and working arrangements to be determined by the school principal. <p>The following qualifications are required:<p>1. A member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers with qualifications in the Intermediate and Senior Divisions.<p>2. An understanding and appreciation of the cultural heritage and values of Anishinaabe people.<p>3. A full understanding of the Ontario Curriculum Guidelines for Secondary Schools.<p>4. Be sensitive to the needs of individual students, especially students living away from home to attend secondary school.<p>5. Participate in community activities to develop a better rapport and understanding of the students.<p>6. Maintain a liaison with Program, School and Community Leaders.<p>7. Fluency in Anishinaabe language is an asset, preferred.<p>8. Valid driver's license and own transportation.<p>Applicants are to outline their area(s) and subjects of qualification in a cover letter.
