Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Supervise patients' exercise routines. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Maintain inventory of supplies. Collect specimens. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Supply and empty bed pans. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Health Care Aide Certificate. Nursing Aide Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Tuberculosis test.
