Tasks: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques. Keep logs and maintain records. Schedule activities. Supervise staff. Train staff. Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events . Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities. Maintain and repair sports equipment. Understand principles of group dynamics. Leading/instructing groups. Leading/instructing individuals. Conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. 5-10 people. Medical specialization: Kinesiology or human kinetics. Security and safety: Vulnerable sector check.
