Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Motel. Tasks: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Equipment: Power tools. Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment. Personal suitability: Dependability. Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
