<p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION<br>Person who is responsible for one or more programs with a view to providing professional assistance for the development of services. She/he conducts research activities that are necessary for identifying and assessing needs and resources. She/he designs and proposes development plans and programs in order to ensure adequate service planning. She/he provides advice concerning the implementation or improvement of programs and/or services. She/he may participate in various teaching or training activities.</p><p>SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS <br>We aim to expand access to high-quality eye care, thereby improving patient outcomes and enhancing their quality of life. As the PPRO for our Ocular Care Team, you will play a pivotal role in launching and managing projects designed to transform ocular healthcare delivery. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing mobile teams dedicated to providing comprehensive ocular services directly to patients, significantly increasing our service reach, efficiency, and impact. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a series of vital projects that will directly contribute to the improvement of patient care and access to services. In addition to pioneering new mobile ocular care services, we are committed to expanding our offerings in optometry and exploring collaborative opportunities with external partners to enhance our service.</p><ul><li>Lead the creation and development mobile ocular care teams, including planning, execution, and management;</li><li>Work closely with healthcare professionals to design services that meet the specific needs of our patients;</li><li>Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with our mission to enhance patient access to ocular care;</li><li>Develop and implement strategies to ensure the mobile teams operates efficiently, effectively reaching patients across the territory;</li><li>Monitor project performance, adjusting strategies to meet organizational objectives;</li><li>Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and partners to promote a collaborative work environment;</li><li>Evaluate project outcomes, gathering feedback from patients and team members to drive continuous improvement;</li><li>Collaborate with technical experts and external partners to assess and select the necessary equipment, technology, and materials required for ocular care services;</li><li>Participate in the TDRD program by supporting local teams;</li><li>Participate on the deployment of new equipment for ocular care;</li><li>Provides training to local teams and mobile teams on existing or new services.</li></ul><p>Education: * Bachelor's degree in health science, social science or education.</p><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Three (3) years of relevant experience in a clinical aspect.</li></ul><p>Knowledge and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Ability to deliver presentations to different audiences (professionals, families, youth);</li><li>Demonstrated experience in planning, adapting, developing and implementing new programs, and maintaining existing programs;</li><li>Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering training to staff, both group sessions and individual coaching;</li><li>Ability to integrate Eenou/Eeyou/ (Cree) culture, values, traditions and teachings into programming;</li><li>Knowledge of First Nation health/social service models, trends and issues is an asset;</li><li>Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;</li><li>Ability to work in collaboration and partnership with colleagues and institutional partners;</li><li>Possess leadership skills in working with individuals and groups;</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; </li><li>Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, planning and decision-making skills;</li><li>Must be autonomous and flexible;</li><li>Good working knowledge of computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.</li></u
