Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Urban area. Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Lay out reference points and patterns. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures. Weld or bolt sections together. Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines. Construct patterns and templates. Install fabricated components in final product. Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Metal Fabricator Trade Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Welding techniques: MIG. TIG. Plasma ARC. ARC spot. Flux core arc welding (FCAW). Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Equipment and machinery experience: Brakes and presses. Cutting torches. Drills. Grinder. Shears. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Saws. Area of specialization: Structural metal or steel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Welding helmet.
