Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team. As a PT, you will work to provide assessment and therapy services to clients in various settings. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- provide consultation, assessment, intervention, and monitoring of skills in relation to development and optimizing positioning and function.
- plan and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment appropriate to the child's health requirements, daily living environment and designed to help the child live, play and work with optimum physical functioning.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
- Familiarity with acute care and pediatric settings is highly desired
- Proficiency in medical terminology is required
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to adapt to different patient needs and treatment plans
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges during therapy sessions
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document patient progress
