Job description
*Scope:*
Prepare, arrange and serve breakfast food and beverage to guests in a friendly and professional manner following Best Western Quality Standards as well as London Middlesex Health and Safety Standards.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
* Set up and maintain restaurant for complimentary hot breakfast buffet.
* Prepare and maintain hot and cold food items for use on the breakfast buffet.
* Maintain proper inventory control and ensures that all items are ordered through the approved suppliers.
* Serve, maintain, tidy, and clean breakfast buffet during breakfast hours.
* Set and reset tables as and when required.
* Ensure high standards by following Best Western service standards
* Exceed customer expectations by anticipating service needs.
* Organize motions to maximize the efficiency of set-up and service.
* Ensure creativity of buffet and day-to-day guest special needs.
* Ensure a safe work environment by following all work practices.
* Follow food safety and handling procedures and compliance regulations as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial, and local laws.
* Adhere to all hotel safety and security policies and procedures as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial, and local laws.
* Maintain superior standards of quality, service, and cleanliness in the restaurant, kitchen, and service area.
* Consistently maintain a neat, organized, and clean workspace and uniform.
* Demonstrate a commitment to provide the best possible experience for guests, ensuring superior personalized service.
* Perform other duties as assigned by an immediate superior and/ or manager.
*Qualifications:*
* Safe Food Handling Certificate (Must have)
* WHIMIS
* High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
* Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of principles, values, and processes for providing superior guest service.
* Ability to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests.
* Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.75-$17.55 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ? 45 per week
Schedule:
* 4 hour shift
* Day shift
* Morning shift
* Weekends as needed
Experience:
* Hotel food & beverage: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Food Safety Certification (preferred)
