Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Clean. Work setting: Cafeteria. Food service establishment. Coffee shop. Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules. Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Short order cooking and food preparation. Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Safe Food Handling certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Team player. Initiative. Dependability.
