*Job Title: Production Officer (Supervisor) - Bag Making Department*
*Reports to: CEO *
*Job Summary:*
We are seeking an experienced Production Officer (Supervisor) to lead and supervise the Bag Making Department, ensuring efficient machine setup, production workflow, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production jobs, setting up machines, and reporting to management to achieve assigned goals.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Bag Making Department
- Set up and adjust machines to ensure optimal production performance
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance
- Manage production workflow to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Monitor and report on production metrics, including efficiency, productivity, and quality
- Collaborate with quality control to ensure high-quality products
- Train and guide production staff to improve skills and performance
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes
*Compile and submit regular reports to management and finance department, including:*
- Job completion reports
- Monthly operator performance reports
- Monthly wastage summary reports (job-wise)
- Staff performance metrics (time, per capita, per man per hour)
- Dispatch reports (including receiving and delivery documentation)
*Additional responsibilities:*
- Coordinate with office staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting and documentation
- Provide regular updates to management on production progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement
- Achieve assigned production targets and goals.
*Requirements:*
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of bag making machinery and production processes
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of production management software
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., industrial engineering, manufacturing technology)
- Experience in a similar industry (e.g., packaging, printing)
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
