Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Community and social services. Various locations. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Leading/instructing groups. Implement life skills workshops. Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them. Implement behaviour management programs. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Identify additional/alternative services and provide referrals. Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems. Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up and court reports. Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Target audience: Persons with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Windows. MS Word. MS Outlook. Electronic medical records. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Client focus.
