Currently we are looking for innovative educators who are in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and who are available for on-call/supply work. <p>Daily rate:Daily rate of pay for Supply Teacher certified is $255.70<p>NOTE: PDSB is currently inviting applications from OCT qualified teachers who are interested and willing to obtain t he Deaf Specialist . L ess than A SL fluency required fo r the positio n may be supported with a n ASL/English Interpreter in the classroom while the successful candidate becomes fluent in ASL . <p>Compe ti tion # P D SB 2 4 -1 24 Teacher of the Deaf , Supply P ositions , ECD Elementary , Milton <p>Compe ti tion # P D SB 2 4 -1 2 5 Te acher of the Deaf , Supply P ositions , ECD Secondary , Milton <p>Com pe ti tion # P D S B 2 4 -1 2 6 Teacher of the Deaf , S upply P ositions availabl e , London <p>Com pe ti tion # P D S B 2 4 -1 2 7 Teacher of the Deaf , S upply P ositions available , Belleville <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT);<p> Deaf Specialist/Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (NOTE: PDSB will consider teacher candidates who are currently engaged in completing the requirements for the spec ialist qualification and/or who express a willingness to obtai n) ;<p> Primary/Junior and/or Intermediate/Senior division qualifications;<p> Experience in teaching Deaf/hard of hearing students in academic and in programs for students with multiple exceptionalities preferred;<p> Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred. (NOTE: PDSB w ill consider teacher candidates who expre ss a w illingness to obtain ASL language fluency) . A BILITIES: Ability to teach Deaf students in academic programs and programs for students with multiple exceptionalities;<p> Ability to develop/modify lesson plans, and/or create IEPs as needed to successfully teach Deaf students;<p> Ability to apply an in-depth knowledge of the principles of teaching Deaf students;<p> Ability to effectively manage a classroom and students using a variety of behavioural management techniques;<p> Ability to write and present education materials and lesson plans using excellent interpersonal and communication skills including proficiency in ASL and English; <p> Ability to apply an in depth knowledge of bilingual-biliteracy-bicultural education for Deaf students;<p> Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and working with students with multi exceptionalities.LOCATION : Ernest C.
