You'll join a team of passionate and driven innovators, who are breaking barriers and expanding the reach of Canada's most-loved entertainment.At Bell Media, you'll redefine digital connections and pioneer next-generation services, propelling us to reach new heights, unlock untapped potential and expand horizons for our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesManage news operations for the Barrie CTV2 News Team ? including staff development, training, and talent recruitment Provide editorial leadership defining the direction, tone, and presentation of news content on all platformsExecutive Producer of all CTV2 Barrie NewsResponsible for assigning resources, contributing to content, and show productionOversee CTV2 Barrie News website and social media propertiesCommunicate effectively with production team Coordinate news gathering requirements in conjunction with CTV Network and other Bell Media platformsManage legal issues and CRTC complaintsHelp strengthen relationship with key community membersHelp develop digital strategy for news propertiesOther duties as assignedCritical QualificationsPost-secondary education in Journalism, Broadcasting, or Media Production or equivalent and at least 5 years' experience in a newsroom Excellent knowledge of local news and current affairs. Proven sound editorial judgmentDemonstrated ability to originate coverage on developing news stories and featuresMinimum 3 years' field experience in television journalism.Minimum 1 year experience as a producerMinimum 1 year experience working in a leadership role in a newsroom environment.A track record for outstanding, concise communication and direct coaching skills in a fast-paced environmentForward thinking, a creative and open-minded problem solver with experience maximizing the best use of the company's resourcesAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines Strong team leader with effective people and motivational skills and a demonstrated record of success supervising staffPractical working knowledge of Microsoft Office and iNEWS. Hours of Work37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required based on operational needs.#EmployeeReferralProgramAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
