The Marketing Manager will develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility and drive sales growth within the retail hardware sector. This includes creating print, in-store and media advertising campaigns that resonate with target audiences, effectively communicating product benefits and promotions. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire marketing process, from concept development to execution, ensuring that all materials align with the Lawrie Group brand?s overall messaging and market positioning.
Budget planning is an aspect to this role, it will need to allocate resources efficiently to maximize ROI for marketing activities. This will involve analyzing past performance data, forecasting future trends, and making informed decisions about spending on advertising, promotions, and digital initiatives.
In addition, proficiency in web design will be required to help optimize the Lawrie Group online presence through user friendly website layouts, engaging content, and effective e-commerce strategies.
The Marketing Manager will directly report to the Operations Manager/Dealer.
*Job Type: *Full-Time and on-call
*Shifts:* Weekdays with weekend and on-call requirements when seasonal events are taking place
Work Location: On-site Annapolis Royal, traveling to store locations will be required
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
· Create, plan, and execute both physical and digital marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and increase sales.
· Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on campaigns
· Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement and loyalty through targeted marketing initiatives
· Plan and execute promotional events, trade shows, and community outreach initiatives to increase brand awareness
· Collaborate with web design teams to optimize the company website for user experience and e-commerce functionally
· Follow Home Hardware Stores Limited Promotional Calendar (Head Office driven)
· Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies
· Produce engaging marketing content for various channels, including brochures, social media, email newsletter, and website.
· Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies
· Ensure all marketing materials align with the Lawrie Group brand?s messaging and maintain consistent branding across all platforms
· Work closely with the store managers and the Lawrie Group leadership team to align marketing strategies with overall business goals
· Manage relationships with external agencies for advertising, printing, and other marketing services
· Your presence will be required at weekend events
· Provide quarterly updates to the Director of Operations / Dealer
· Director of Finance will approve a yearly budget
*Requirements:*
· Must be highly efficient in design software and web application.
· Bachelor?s degree in marketing or 5+ years related field
· Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
· Highly proficient in digital marketing tools, email marketing platforms
· Familiarity with web design principles and content management systems
· Experience in budget planning and financial analysis related to marketing expenditures
· Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 and its apps.
· Be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency to meet deadlines.
· Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships among all stores and communicate and present effectively with customers, management and co-workers.
· Must display a high degree of energy, creativity and professionalism.
· Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
