Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Office. Rural area. Willing to relocate. Land development company. General office. Tasks: Compile and analyze data on factors affecting land use. Design different land concepts. Recommend plans for zoning, subdivisions, transportation, public utilities, community facilities, parks, agricultural and other land uses. Confer with appropriate authorities and interest groups to formulate and develop land use or community plans. Prepare plans for environmental protection. Review and evaluate proposals for land use and development plans and prepare recommendations. Process application for land development permits. Administer land use plans and zoning by-laws. Formulate long-range objectives and policies relative to future land use and the protection of the environment. Conduct research. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License. Provincial license or registration. Computer and technology knowledge: ArcGIS. MS Project. MS Office. Planning specialization: Environmental assessment or analysis. First Nations. Resource.
