*Job description* The Lift Operator is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient use of our lifts for our guests and employees in a courteous, professional manner. As well as perform various other outdoor duties. Primary Responsibilities Guest Safety * Ensure that guests are safely loaded onto our lifts * Be vigilant for identifying and preventing lift related incidents * Know the Alpine Responsibility Code Guest Service * Ensure that all guests have a valid lift pass * Know lift opening and closing times * Ensure proper lift use by our guests and staff Lift Operation * Know and follow safe operating procedures * Know and follow opening and closing procedures * Understand lift function Emergency Procedures * Know and follow emergency operating procedures as per training and lift manual * Carry out duties as required by supervisor/managers Reporting * Complete required Lift log documentation prior to opening of lift * Ensure data is accurate and complete * Document all stops and unusual occurrences Equipment * Know how to use tools properly * Maintain lift huts and surrounding areas * Use lift phones and radios appropriately * Clean and maintain uniform regularly Miscellaneous * Ski racks, benches and tables * Snow removal around lifts, buildings, decks and entrances * Garbage and recycling removalWe offer you a free season pass with reciprocal riding at most other ski hills, 45% off café and 40% off retail as well as discounts at stores in Penticton and Oliver. 1$ per hour Bonus Paid out at the end of the Season.
