This position consists of 4 blocks of Art, 2 blocks of Photo, and 1 block of Yearbook. <p>Applicants should be comfortable delivering both a Digital (DSLR, Photoshop) and Traditional (film and darkroom) Photography curriculum in an active, multi-level studio setting. Visual Arts courses at Cambie are multi-grade, interdisciplinary and fluid in approach - candidates for this position should be well-versed in all aspects of the 8 -12 Visual Arts curriculum.<p>Interested applicants are expected to have excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents and colleagues, as well as a demonstrated ability to plan and implement learning experiences designed to meet the needs of all individual students. <p>Cambie is a comprehensive 8-12 school with a focus on student voice and promotion of a well-rounded education. Creating classroom opportunities to deepen student engagement is a schoolwide focus. Cambie maintains a positive behaviour support system, (Cambie 3R's) sharing effective instructional strategies to engage students, providing descriptive feedback as we work with proficiency assessment practices and incorporation of the First Peoples Principles of Learning into our teaching.<p>The successful candidate must be a qualified Art teacher with experience in Art/Photo at the senior secondary grade levels.
