Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Electrical or electronic equipment manufacturing. Engineering firm. Construction industry. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications. Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Computer and technology knowledge: Power Line Systems, computer aided design and drafting (PLS-CADD). AutoCAD. Autodesk REVIT. Equipment and machinery experience: Cables and winches. Area of work experience: Design. Area of specialization: System integration. Electrical. Electronics (industrial). Lighting. Power generation, transmission or distribution. Control system. Electrical machines or transformers. Cable and television system. Construction. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Willing to travel.
