Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Prepare production and other reports. Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions. Train or arrange for training. Prepare bids. Manage own company. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Estimate costs and materials. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Read blueprints and electrical schematics. Recommend personnel actions. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Supervision: 3-4 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Fast-paced environment. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication.
