Position Description: <p>The Digital Communications Specialist will work strategically and collaboratively with the Communications Officer to support internal and external board communications, with a focus on digital marketing and branding to support Bluewater District School Boards Multi-Year Strategic Plan. The successful incumbent will report on a functional basis to the Communications Officer. Some of their responsibilities will include vetting content that is to be published and organize daily tasks, processes, and governance of information shared.Location: Bluewater District School Board Education Centre, Corporate Services<p>Commencing: as soon as possible<p>Status: Permanent full-time<p>Salary: $69,339 - $81,119 Qualifications: College Diploma in communications or related field (graphic design, marketing, public relations, or journalism).<p> Minimum of 2-3 years experience working with responsiblities associated with corporate communications, graphic design, marketing, or journalism with a strong understanding of corporate communications strategies. <p>Duties and Responsibilities: Guidance and support for staff in developing, designing, and promoting web, social media, and other content and communications material that align with the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.<p> Develop branding and marketing guidelines, including a style guide to promote consistency across departments and schools.<p> Provide website and social media support through updating and maintaining the boards corporate social media accounts and website.<p> Assist schools and departments with their websites and related content.<p> Assist with the development of best practices to ensure Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance in web, social media, and marketing communications material.<p> Provide corporate promotional and design support in a variety of areas.<p> Research and write good news articles for web and social media, which will require occasional attendance at board and school events.<p> Track, analyze, and report key metrics and trends of digital marketing campaigns and implement optimization strategies accordingly.<p> Design and manage traditional and social media advertising campaigns and implement to increase brand exposure and user engagement.<p> Provide training and support to various staff groups on the use of content management software and social media tools, branding and marketing, and accessibility.<p> Make recommendations regarding changes in web and social media technology and/or strategies, in response to public demand and technology trends.<p> Ensure communications support diversity, equity, and inclusion.<p> Assist with the development of an annual marketing plan.<p> Other duties as assigned. <p>Assets : Two three years experience working in the public sector or school board environment.<p> Exceptional skills in clear, concise written and oral communications and storytelling.<p> Highly computer literate with proven web
