Using your extensive knowledge of capital investment, you?ll also lead the development of policies and practices consistent with industry best practices.<p></p><p></p><p><b><span>What you?ll do:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with internal and external partners and senior leaders in executing the FCC Capital Investments strategy</p></li><li><p>Provide strategic recommendations on strategy, frameworks, policies, metrics and best practices for the venture capital program</p></li><li><p>Recommend investment and partnership opportunities</p></li><li><p>Direct and perform due diligence</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain relationships with fund managers, industry partners, investors and other stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Develop and provide effective reporting, forecasting, analytics and monitoring of program outcomes and financial results</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What we?re looking for:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and ability to influence</p></li><li><p>Relationship-builder with sound judgment and decision-making ability</p></li><li><p>Confident communicator with proven ability to connect with stakeholders and build business relationships</p></li><li><p>Experienced leader and mentor passionate about helping their team and others succeed</p></li><li><p>Critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven, collaborative environment</p></li><li><p>Organizational pro who can manage, prioritize and guide multiple priorities</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What you?ll need:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>A bachelor?s degree in finance, business or commerce and at least <span>15 years of related leadership experience</span> supplemented by a CPA, CFA or MBA designation (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)</p></li><li><p>Extensive knowledge of venture capital investments and fund design</p></li><li><p>Ability to develop successful teams and foster strong relationships</p></li><li><p>Understanding of Canadian agriculture and agri-food or venture capital and related regulations and best practices</p></li></ul>
