Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: International organization or agency. Tutoring service. Tasks: Supervise teaching assistants. Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues. Counsel students regarding personal and social issues. Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies. Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers. Refer students to other specialized services when required. Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops. Develop guidance and counselling programs. Supervise peer counselling programs. Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents and educational institutions. Counselling specialization: Study skills.
