Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Special education and teaching, general. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Assess clients' cognitive, social and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals. Instruct in the use of rehabilitative techniques, prosthetic devices and wheelchairs. Provide job training and support. Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives. Supervise office and volunteer staff. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Initiative. Judgement. Organized.
