Tasks: Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys. Prepare all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties. Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities. Advise and provide consultation on matters related to legal surveys. Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment. Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD. MS Outlook. MS Word. Computer-aided design (CAD). Field skills experience: Operate survey equipment. Operate total station to obtain information about property boundaries. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Survey specialization: Condominiums. Construction. General urban. Land development. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Personal suitability: Accurate.
