*What you bring to the table*
* Minimum five (5) years of experience working in an architectural firm preferably retail, commercial and hospitality preparing and coordinating construction drawings and documents
* Graduate of an Architectural program or Architectural Technology program at a recognized post-secondary school
* Knowledge of construction methodology, building assemblies, building science, materials application and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
* Ability to interpret and coordinate work of consultant disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
* Knowledge of the Ontario / National Building Code as well as the Ontario Fire Code
* Knowledge in Zoning by-laws research and application
* Familiarity with sustainable building materials and construction practices
* Experience in site planning and layout design
* Understanding of the municipal approval process for both planning and building
* High level of proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD
* 3D Modelling software (such as SketchUp) is an asset
* 3D Rendering software (such as Enscape, VRay, or others) is an asset
* Capability to work efficiently and accurately both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Aptitude for mentoring and training intermediate and junior staff.
* Strong organizational skills, including information management, task scheduling, and documentation.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with clients.
* Positive mindset and attitude towards work.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Prepare a comprehensive set of working drawings, contract documents, and specifications adhering to industry and company standards.
* Coordinate construction drawings with consultants, including civil, architects, engineers (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.), and other specialists such as audiovisual, security, signage/wayfinding, and specialty lighting.
* Develop site plans and building drawings, and liaise with municipal planning/building departments for application processes and addressing
