You have experience in human resource management, financial management, problem solving and critical thinking. You demonstrate program leadership skills, including expertise in planning, implementation and evaluation of programs.Master level degree in Health Administration, Health Care, Social Work, related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum five (5) years management experience managing an inter-professional health care team including supervision of staff and or 5 years of management/leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding of the Community Health Care model of careUnderstanding of the standards of regulated health care professionalsExperience in supervising multiple disciplines and multiple programsSound knowledge of general management principles, including financial and human resource managementProgram development, evaluation and quality improvement experienceStrong critical analysis, problem solving, planning, decision-making, leadership, organizational and change management skillsExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsStrong promoter and enhancer of teamworkProficient with word processing, spreadsheets and email softwareWritten and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. Ability to communicate in French is a definite assetWhat you will doThe Director of Primary Health Care will be the key driver of creating and leading a team focused on improving quality primary health care services within the region. Mentoring, coaching and supervising teams in developing and executing practical solutions and innovative methods and solutions to improve quality and health outcomes will be a primary goal in this role. Report to the Executive Regional Director of Primary Health Care and be accountable for designing and implementing the organization's primary health care strategy, providing outreach to providers, partners and stakeholders. The Zone 3 Director of Primary Health Care will also be responsible for advancing initiatives of Horizon's Community portfolio initiatives along with those imbedded in the provincial health plan.Responsible and accountable for the provision of quality primary health care delivered through health centres, outreach services, allied, and regional programs within Zone 3.
