Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Home care and visiting care agency. Remote location. Rural area. Urban area. Various locations. Tasks: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Supply and empty bed pans. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Supervise patients' exercise routines. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Collect specimens. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Walking. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Team player.
