Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Custom cabinet shop. Tasks: Make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products. Record information on products inspected. Read blueprints, written specifications and production drawings. Pack items for shipping and distribution. Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports. Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards. Reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with dowels or other supports. Pick orders and stock. Organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems. Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Ship orders. Provide customer service. Organize and maintain inventory. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods.
