Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Renovation. Construction. Commercial. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Assist in demolishing buildings. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Equipment and machinery experience: Reciprocating saws. Circular saws. Mortar and concrete mixers. Air compressors. Air guns. Nail guns. Drills. Chain saw. Sledgehammer. Construction specialization: Residential. Security and safety: Bondable. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
