Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Motor vehicles. Work setting: Courier company. Rural area. Urban area. Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Deliver newspapers, flyers to residences and businesses. Prepare, package and restock goods. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences or assemblies. Load and unload goods. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Perform administrative tasks. Pay and receive payments for goods. Provide customer service. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Provincial/territorial. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
