Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Air conditioned. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Cinema and/or drive-in theatre. Hostel. Hotel, motel, resort. Parking lot. Security guard agency. Sport and recreation club. Central laundry establishment (large). Hospital/health institution laundry. Private school. Automobile dealership. Various locations. Tasks: Arrange for maintenance and repair work. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Be the point of contact when in need to handle emergency situations. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery. Monitor quality and production levels. Oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items. Prepare and submit progress and other reports. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles. Supervise office and volunteer staff. Establish work schedules and procedures. Supervision: 16-20 people. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Other benefits: Parking available.
