Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Oversee operational logistics of the organization. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Maintain work records and logs. Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units. Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports. Co-ordinate, assign and review work. Communicate with ships, aircraft and other remote operations. Keep track of shipments. Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices. Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations. Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses. Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet. Inventory control software. MS Office. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Analytical. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
