The Recreation Programmer is key to supporting our residents on many different levels. As our employees are all unique so are our residents. We strive to touch each residents on a personal level while also meeting their emotional, social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual requirements daily.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging recreational activities for residents
-Motivate residents with participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of activities conducted
- Collaborate with the team to organize special events and outings
- Follow all safety, environmental and infection control practices according to facility policy
- Uphold Roseway Manor's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through meaningful interactions
Qualifications:
- Two year post secondary diploma in Recreation/Leisure studies or equivalent work/education experience, CCA Certification to be considered
- A heart for seniors
- A desire to be involved with each member of our Roseway Manor family
- A goal to make each day the best it can be
Eden Training, Alzheimer/Dementia Care Course, Class 4 Driver's License, Current First Aid/CPR, and a current Food Handler's Course would be considered an asset.
