Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Underground. Confined spaces. Noisy. Dangerous. Dusty. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Work setting: Various locations. Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Clean and lubricate cranes. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures. Instruct apprentices. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Pave and rake asphalt. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Equipment and machinery experience: Carriage grease machine. Curbing machine. Bushing guns. Reciprocating saws. Circular saws. Concrete saws. Mortar and concrete mixers. Grinding machine. Grouting machine. Tuggers. Jackhammers. Air compressors. Air guns. Nail guns. Drills. Augers. Torches.
