The Receptionist performs a variety of confidential clerical and receptionist duties associated with the daily operation of an effective business. The Concierge will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and other staff members. As the first point of contact to the public friendliness, positive attitude and a team approach is key
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
* Answers telephone and greets visitors. Responds to routine inquiries in person and by phone, relaying calls and messages to the appropriate personnel
* Regular interaction with residents answering their questions, redirecting, responding to their requests
* Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Department Manager or Executive Director
* Participates as a member of the work team and provides support to other team members and department
* Other tasks as assigned
* Updating files and folders when there is a change in Resident or Staff member."
* Booking guest meals and taking payments.
* Updating sign-in sheets, printing new ones and filing the old.
* Taking details of prospect inquiries, and giving brief tours in the absence of the Sales Consultant
The ideal candidates will possess:
* Previous experience working in a similar position required (including a working knowledge of office procedures)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent customer service skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of Excel and Word
* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
* Combination of sitting, walking, standing throughout the shift
* *Somone needs to be available on Sunday and any shifts that need covering for sick/vacation.*
* Shifts will vary according to business needs. Receptionists usually work 5-hour shifts, between the hours of 9am to 7pm. The preferred candidate would be flexible to work on any day of the week as we are open Monday through Sunday
