*Job Summary Statement:*
The ideal candidate will have a head for numbers and strong analytical skills. This position will report directly to the Controller and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment.
*Essential Functions & Responsibilities:* Full cycle accounting for the Brimich group of companies
· Process weekly and monthly billing.
· Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
· Assist with Posting journal entries, reconciling accrued expenses and revenue.
· Maintain fixed assets Ledger.
· Provide back-up support to prepare and file all government reports and remittances.
· Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies.
· Assist with monthly closings and finalizing monthly financial statements.
· Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
· Prepare analysis of General Ledger Accounts
· Assist with year-end closings.
· Assist with accounts receivable and provide support to accounts payable.
· Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
· Assist with variance Analysis and departmental reporting.
· Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
· Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
· Assist with monthly KPIs and deliverables.
*Job Specifications?Skills and Competencies:*
· Hands-on experience working with general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and maintaining schedules.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Deadline-driven
· Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
· Ability to take initiative where appropriate.
· Ability to maintain and keep confidentiality regarding internal and customer information.
*Education & Training Requirements *
· An undergraduate degree/diploma in business, accounting, and/or related financial education background. CPA is not required but would be an asset.
· 2+ years? related experience preferred.
· Proficient with NetSuite and QuickBooks an asset
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel also a plus.
