Job Title: Medical Office Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our Plastic Surgery Clinic. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in a medical office setting and ensure smooth operations. The clinic will primarily involve MSP (Medical Services Plan) work but may evolve to include an aesthetic component in the future. Applicant will be working in an office with another surgeon and MOA.
Your role:
- Welcome and register patients on clinic days upon arrival
- Communicate effectively with patients and other physician offices
- General administrative tasks including but not limited to: Answering/making phone calls, electronic filing of documents/faxes, scheduling patient appointments and surgeries, managing patient inquiries, setting up Telehealth appointments
- Assist with MSP/WorkSafe billing, and insurance verification as required
Skills:
- Must have proficiency in basic computer use and word processing. Experience with electronic medical records system management is an asset (Our office uses Accuro)
- Strong administrative skills including phone systems and office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills, and has the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, and possess the ability to work independently and within a team
Work hours:
Full-time position (40 hours per week). Must be flexible if clinic runs a little late, etc. and overtime can be discussed as required.
Remuneration:
This is a salaried position, with an average rate of 23-26/hour depending on degree of experience.
All successful candidates will be subject to a background check (including education, criminal and vulnerable sector screen).
