<p>INTERNAL POSTING Applications are invited for the following position. This is a seconded position that will last up to five years, to be reviewed annually.<p>1.0 INNOVATIVE EDUCATION COACH (Secondary) <p>This person will be centrally assigned and report to The System Lead for Innovative Education.<p>Responsibilities: <p>Educational Technology Coaches will model, promote, and embed Anti-Oppressive Practices and Universal Design for Learning by:<p> Providing human centered, innovative pedagogical practices and professional learning to empower students and accelerate student achievement <p> Co-planning and developing innovative and relevant lessons<p> Modeling innovative & relevant lessons<p> Developing/finding materials and other curriculum resources to support Innovative pedagogical practices<p> Supporting Teacher-Librarians with the Learning Resource Selection Policy & Procedure, library software, collection development & maintenance, supporting TLs with partnering through modeling innovative practices and other innovative library initiatives<p> Modeling and supporting various innovative tools to support pedagogical practices<p> Being responsible for Ministry of Education and Training and Board policies regarding the use of technology and selection of resources<p> Other duties as assignedQualifications: Ontario Teacher's Certificate<p> Intermediate and Senior Qualifications are an asset<p> Specialist or equivalent degree in one or more of the following: Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction or relevant experience/education/interest are an asset<p> Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities<p> Experience with system initiatives in an area related to this role<p> Demonstrated competence in using a variety of instructional strategies<p> Experience in integrating computers into the curriculumThis is a school-based teaching position and does not have a responsibility allowance.Apply to the attention of:<p>Deborah Sansford, System Lead, Anti-Oppression, Leadership & Innovative EducationThe DDSB is committed to equity and inclusion in the recruitment and hiring of qualified staff who reflect the diversity of our region.
