Inquiring Little Minds has been providing childcare services in British Columbia since 2011. We are hoping to expand, by opening more centers in other parts of our community and province. Our centres provide a warm and nurturing environment, with focus on providing reliable, trustworthy and respectful services to meet the needs of the families and children in our communities that require childcare.
ILM facilities are dedicated to the provision of safe, well-managed childcare services for children that are provided by full and part-time, qualified staff. ILM's goal is to stimulate emotional growth, independent growth, intellectual growth, physical growth, and social growth amongst its charges. We follow curriculum based programs exposing children to age appropriate developmental practice.
*About the Role: Human Resources Assistant*
A Human Resources Assistant, also known as an HR Assistant (or Human Resource Assistant), plays a crucial role in supporting the overall employee experience and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This position oversees essential HR functions, including:
* Managing the full-cycle recruitment process for employee applications.
* Handling employee relations.
* Conducting new employee orientations.
* Managing payroll and timekeeping records.
* Maintaining accurate records.
* Reviewing performance evaluations and reports.
* Implementing employee recognition programs and rewards.
* Traveling to different ILM centers depending on the business needs (from Ladysmith to Victoria). Travel expenses are covered by the organization.
*Qualifications: *
* Administrative Skills: Proficiency in handling office tasks such as scheduling, filing, and data entry.
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with employees and external parties.
* Organizational Skills: Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks like processing paperwork and maintaining records.
* Knowledge of HR Processes: Familiarity with basic human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
* Computer Literacy: Competence in using Google Workspace tools, including Google Docs (word processing), Google Sheets (spreadsheets), Google Slides (presentations), and Google Forms (surveys).
* Discretion and Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
* Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues within the HR department and across other departments.
