The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus, daily air service and asphalt roads.<p> <p>Qualifications: <p> <p><p> Bachelor of Education degree and Valid Manitoba Teacher?s Certificate (or eligibility for)<p> Master?s Degree in Education/Administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset<p> At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administration experience<p> Excellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instruction<p> Extensive knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life and experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum <p> Proficiency in a variety of computer applications in a network environment and experience with and understanding of school-based technology <p> Strong instructional leader with the ability to work with teachers to promote and deliver inclusive schooling<p> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<p> Ability to effectively communicate with parents, the community and foster parental involvement<p> Ability to work in partnership with community agencies<p> Previous success with the development and implementation of short and long term school-based plans<p> Experience leading innovative and creative program delivery for students<p> Capacity to work in and respond to a demanding, fast-paced school environment<p> Ability to speak an Indigenous language would be preferred<p><p><p> Applicants are required to submit the following:<p><p> cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of<p> three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom<p> must have knowledge of the applicant?s performance in the applicant?s<p> current or recent assignment<p><p> <p><p>Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
