We currently have an opening for a full-time Junior Accountant at our Richmond office.
As part of our Accounting team, you will manage customer rental accounts, issue invoices, collect payments, update rental accounts, handle customer inquiries, and resolve billing issues. This role will also assist with responding to phone calls.
The successful candidate will:
· Perform full Accounts Receivable functions
· Handle all bank reconciliations
· Handle billing and payment collection processes for rental accounts
· Open new customer accounts and update existing accounts
· Review and update equipment and parts inventory records
· Provide support to Accounts Payable in processing invoices
· Assist with general accounting/bookkeeping functions for other business units
· Assist Sales team with rate templates and customer rate updates
The successful candidate will bring:
· 3 years of experience in a similar role
· Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration an asset
· General knowledge of Accounts Receivable theories, practices, legislation, and resources
· Experience with Great Plains software an asset
· Solid customer service skills including ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer group
· Strong administrative and clerical skills
· Strong ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
· Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple priorities and demands
· Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy, resourcefulness, and efficiency
· Strong computer skills including Excel, Microsoft Office apps, and accounting software
· Strong verbal and written communication
· Ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
