Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registrar and Financial Aid Officer to join our team. The Registrar and Financial Aid Officer will be responsible for providing financial aid guidance and support to students, assisting them in navigating the various options available to fund their education. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial aid processes and regulations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
Duties:
- Maintaining students files and knowledge of preparing students transcripts.
- Educate students on different financial aid options available, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs
- Assist students in completing financial aid applications accurately and in a timely manner
- Evaluate financial aid applications and determine eligibility based on established criteria
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless processing of financial aid awards
- Contributing to a positive corporate culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning and wellness.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students throughout the financial aid process
- Stay up-to-date on changes in financial aid regulations and policies
- Maintain accurate records of financial aid disbursements and student interactions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience working in a financial aid office or related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial aid processes, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial aid software
