*Are you seeking a new opportunity as a hands-on Manager for Human Resources where you can engage across all areas of the department? An exciting opportunity awaits you to join our exceptional MTCA Team as a Human Resources Manager.*
In this role, you will manage and execute all HR functions for two Quebec locations: our Longueuil, plant with 25 employees and our Boucherville plant with 4 employees. You will be a valuable member of our North America HR Team, with ample opportunities to enhance your HR skills and knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include managing your time between both sites to include all HR tasks, benefits administration, health and safety initiatives, payroll administration, training, HR analytics, employee relations, and handling special projects. You will provide support to execute process improvement projects across the organization to sustainably improve morale, safety, people development, company policies communication & HR functions accomplishment ensuring legal compliance.
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
*HR Administration and Employee Relations*
* Develop and/or distribute, copies correspondence, letters, memos, reports, presentations, policies/procedures
* Record management of confidential HR related files (i.e. employee files, medical files etc)
* Assist the Plant Manager and Supervisors during employee coaching sessions and formal discipline.
* Prepare various related employee documents
* Responds to routine inquiries by employees about various HR policies/procedures
* Create, update and produces variety of HRIS related reports as required to support HR metrics and analytics.
* Execute monthly employee engagement activities
* Ensure compliance and maintenance activities for conformity with the variety of Quebec Programs and legislation
*Recruitment*
* Manage full recruitment cycle for both locations
* Work with Recruitment agencies as required
* Prepare, distribute, and conduct new hire documentation and orientation
* Arrange for temporary staff as required
*Payroll, Benefit and Pension Administration*
* Process Payroll Main point of contact for Quebec location for the outsourced Payroll Provider
* Maintains employee data in HRIS system and send updates to our outsourced payroll specialist.
* Verifies employee hours for payroll processing, reconciling timecards; following up on anomalies with the Pant Manager, payroll provider, staff and management as required
* Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll and forward to payroll provider when necessary
* Monitor Attendance by running reports and issue counsel in accordance with attendance policy.
* Maintains and updates confidential staffing files and records
* Create and develops reports, as required in HRIS.
* Enroll and administer employee benefits and DPSP programs into HRIS system and benefit provider
* Acts as a point of contact for benefit program for employees

* Ensures employees are up to date on all legislative and MTCA required training
* Execute monthly training schedule that is in place
* Schedule and arrange all required training
* Maintain training records and training matrix

* Lead Health and Safety Committee, conduct meetings and follow up as required
