Job details
Transport Canada (TC) provides strategic advice and regulatory expertise to support planning efforts across the country, as well as identify and assess policy, legislative and regulatory changes. TC staff contribute to the development of response plans as well as supporting other essential response planning-related activities.¿¿¿ ¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿ ¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿:¿ Ensure regulatory compliance of oil handling facilities (OHF) and response organizations (RO) certified by Transport Canada: conduct site inspections, review prevention and emergency plans and evaluate oil pollution exercises.¿ In the event of non-compliance, follow up on files in collaboration with the Regional Enforcement Unit (REU).¿ Participate in the development of working tools and policy implementation through regional and national working groups.¿ Develop and maintain relationships with the shipping and oil handling industry as well as key partners (fed
