*Opportunity*
As a Registered Practical Nurse at Agile Healthcare Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-notch patient care and contributing to the success of healthcare initiatives. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a current CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario) registration to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to a quadriplegia patient within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, including a year of experience working as an RN in a retirement home, and possess the necessary certifications for quality patient care.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Provide comprehensive nursing care to a quadriplegia patient, focusing on their unique needs, mobility, comfort, and quality of life.
· Conduct thorough assessments of the patient's condition, including vital signs, skin integrity, and respiratory status, and implement care plans accordingly.
· Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and timely administration while adhering to established protocols.
· Monitor and assist with respiratory care, including tracheostomy care and ventilator management.
· Perform wound care, as needed, and maintain proper wound hygiene to prevent complications.
· Serve as an advocate for the quadriplegia patient, ensuring their voice and preferences are respected in the care process.
· Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to provide holistic care.
· Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) and nursing notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
· Follow stringent infection control practices to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
*Key Requirements:*
· Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
· COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
· Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) clearance.
· Must have Valid CPR
· Minimum of one year of experience working as an RN in a retirement home or a similar care setting.
· Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $35.00 per hour
