Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a primary care provider to our patients who works to their full scope of practice as described and outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). The attending NP will practice both independently and in collaboration with the Medical Director and other members of the health care team in the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans for virtual and clinic patients. Approximately 40% of their time will be providing direct patient care in the clinic setting, 40% providing direct patient care in the virtual setting and 20% quality improvement, research, and leadership activities.
The NP will
* Conduct in-person / virtual comprehensive consultations for patients with under the guidance of the Medical Director
* Perform thorough physical examinations, review medical histories, and order necessary diagnostic tests.
* Prescribe drugs or devices, order services within the clinic?s guidelines and their scope of practice.
* Administer drugs (primarily injections) to patients.
* Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
* Educate patients about their health issue, their causes, and treatment options.
* Coordinate with other healthcare professionals within the medical centre for holistic patient care.
* Conduct virtual follow-ups with patients to assess treatment progress, manage medication adherence, and address any concerns.
* Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Participate in regular case reviews with the attending physician to discuss patient progress, treatment efficacy, and adjustments as needed.
*Qualifications:*
* Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
* Current certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner .
* Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make informed decisions in patient care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
* Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
* Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $31.12-$101.33 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
