Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Analyze hair and scalp condition. Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Supervise other hair stylists and other staff. Supervise apprentices/students in training. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Hair colouring techniques: Dyes/tints. Streaking/highlights. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. What is the highest level of study you have completed?.
