The PPSC's Court Worker program responds to the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls' Calls for Justice, including to increase Indigenous representation in all Canadian Courts, and to increase accessibility to meaningful and culturally appropriate justice practices. As a PPSC Inuit Court Worker in development, you will have the opportunity to train to become a PPSC agent, representing the PPSC in summary conviction criminal courts. You will learn how to run bail hearings, attend docket court and work with a prosecution team on all aspects of summary conviction prosecutions. You will have a responsibility to respect and develop traditional approaches to justice, including restorative justice programs that incorporate Inuit values and culture, and embody the spirit of Inuit Qaujmajatuqangit.
