At Parts for Trucks, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch service in the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. Our team is dedicated to excellence. And we are currently seeking a skilled and licensed *Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Welder* to join our team.
*Responsibilities:*
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
* Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment.
* Produce metal products according to customer and company specifications.
* Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects.
* Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
* Carry out welding tasks as required, including fabrication and repair work.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
* Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices.
*Requirements:*
* Valid Certificate as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic and Welder.
* Proven experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance and repair.
* Proficiency in welding, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver?s license and acceptable driver?s abstract.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
